Admissions

Admission into TPH St. Louis is selective and not guaranteed. Each applicant is evaluated to ensure they're the right fit for the expectations, structure, and standards of our program.

Before You Apply: What We Are — and What We're Not

The most important things to understand about our model.

WE ARE

A Full-Day Academy

Students attend the academy (school) each day from 8:00 AM–3:30 PM, then go their separate ways to club practices and games after school.

WE ARE NOT

A Team or Club

TPH St. Louis Academy is not a team and is not connected to any specific club or organization.

WE ARE NOT

A Boarding School

We do not offer boarding or billeting options. Our student-athletes live at home with their families.

The 2027–2028 Admissions Timeline

Enrollment into TPH St. Louis is intentionally structured and selective, and enrollment opportunities are limited each academic year. Five clear steps — no black box.

  1. Attend an Open House — JUNE 2026

Meet our staff, tour the campus, and learn the structure, expectations, and daily schedule.

  2. Submit Your Application — SUMMER 2026

Apply for the 2027–2028 academic year ($99 application fee). The academic and student-athlete review process begins.

  3. Shadow Day / Evaluation — FALL 2026

Your student visits campus, experiences the academics, training, and environment firsthand — and our staff evaluates overall fit.

  4. Acceptance Process — WINTER 2026

Admissions decisions are released and enrollment opportunities are offered to selected students.

  5. Final Enrollment — FEBRUARY 2027

Complete the enrollment process, finalize tuition and scheduling, and prepare for the academy year.

Admissions decisions are based on overall fit — academically, athletically, socially, and culturally. We are looking for student-athletes who truly want to be here, value the opportunity, and positively contribute to the academy culture.

Applying is what opens the door to a Shadow Day for your student, and/or an on-site family meeting and walk-through of the program. Questions? PMcRae@TPHAcademy.com

Who Thrives Here

The academy is not the right fit for every child — and we say so openly. It is built for a specific kind of student-athlete.

PASSION

Kids Who Can't Get Enough

The students who thrive here are shooting pucks in the driveway, playing mini sticks in the basement, and asking for more ice — not less. For them, burnout isn't possible. If that love isn't there yet, the academy may not be the right fit.

DRIVE

Self-Starters

Students who are — for their age — self-driven, motivated, and dedicated to getting better. Surrounded daily by like-minded peers with similar goals, dreams, and passions, they push each other and have fun doing it.

STANDARDS

Students Who Earn the Ice

Every student must meet their academic standard daily to be eligible to train. For our students, that opportunity means so much that staying eligible becomes its own motivation.

Shadow Days

Experience a full academy day — academics, training, and all. Shadow Days for 2027–28 admission are held in September and October 2026, on Mondays, Tuesdays, or Wednesdays. A completed application is required before scheduling.
