Three structured, prioritized academic hours every day — with a 3.87 average GPA, 87% of students on the honor roll, and 33 students carrying a 4.0+.
TPH St. Louis is not itself an accredited school — students enroll through their Missouri public school district as a full-time virtual student, or through our private school partner, EYC Academy. Either way, students receive the same support, same platform, same resources, and same daily experience. The difference is simply where credits, transcripts, and diplomas are issued from.
Students can remain enrolled in their local public school through the Missouri Course Access Program (MOCAP) — earning credits and report cards, graduating with a diploma from their public school, and keeping the ability to participate in school sports, clubs, and extracurriculars. MOCAP also provides additional academic support when needed.
Students enroll through our private school partnership with EYC Academy — certified teachers behind every course, faster feedback, NCAA-ready transcript oversight, and more flexibility for curriculum and electives, including Honors and AP opportunities. Eligible families may qualify for MO Scholars funding. Full details below.

Real teachers. Real relationships. Real difference. TPH St. Louis is the only sports academy in Missouri with an EYC Academy partnership — real, local, Missouri-certified teachers connected directly to each student's education.
Announced in 2026, our partnership with EYC Academy is the most significant academic advancement in the program's six-year history. Located just minutes from our campus and led by Lou Reuss, EYC brings certified educators and proven instructional systems to the TPH experience.
Professional, certified teachers handle grading, provide detailed feedback, and offer academic oversight for every course.
EYC teachers work hand in hand with our nine-member on-site academic team — teachers, staff, and families aligned more closely than ever, so no student falls behind.
Enhanced transcript oversight ensures athletes are prepared for college sports — with faster grading and more responsive communication for families.
Students keep round-the-clock access to their digital platform, curriculum, and recorded lessons, plus live help and tutoring during business hours.
The partnership opens access to the MOScholars scholarship program, helping qualifying families apply scholarship funds toward their child's education.
Private school pathway powered by EYC Academy, or the public school pathway through MOCAP — with the same daily structure, support, and platform either way.
"Lou Reuss and the EYC team have built something remarkable for the St. Louis community. By aligning our missions, we are providing a stronger, more credible, and more supportive experience for our 120+ full-time TPH St. Louis student-athletes."
— Philip McRae, TPH St. Louis
A blended model — online coursework inside an in-person, structured classroom. We chose Edmentum because it's asynchronous (ideal for traveling athletes), state-approved, NCAA-approved, MOCAP-approved, and used by the National Team and many junior hockey programs.
Students take the same courses they would at their traditional school — including Honors and AP classes when applicable.
Recorded lessons, live lessons when available, on-demand tutoring, and guided note sheets — including access when students are away traveling.
Direct messaging, communication, and feedback from the certified teacher behind each course.
Parents have their own login to track pacing, grades, and academic status — full transparency, all year.

Every student. Every day. Every layer. Our academic staff are not content teachers — they are the structure and accountability system around every student.
Provides leadership, oversight, and direction for all academic programming, staff, and student support systems.
Primary on-site academic leader overseeing daily operations, student support, pacing, accountability, and academic success.
Every student is assigned an Academic Success Coach based on age and grade level — the primary point of contact for students and families regarding academics, pacing, accountability, and daily support.
EYC teachers provide instructional feedback, grading, virtual support sessions, tutor rooms, and content-specific academic assistance.
Specialized support to deepen learning and build essential skills — math tutors, AI workshop guests, book club, writers workshop, college & career readiness workshops, and more.
Sports staff reinforce accountability, structure, and the connection between academic success and athletic goals — helping create focused, structured, well-run classrooms.
Every student is intentionally surrounded by multiple layers of academic accountability, communication, and support.
A team around every student. A purpose in every layer. A pathway to success.
Athletic careers end. An education, a transcript, and the habits behind them do not. Every TPH St. Louis student graduates prepared for the next level — whichever level that is.
NCAA-approved coursework with enhanced transcript oversight through our EYC partnership — so student-athletes are eligible and prepared for college sports from day one.
On-site ACT preparation and testing built into the academy experience — no scrambling for outside test prep.
Students visit college campuses, meet admissions staff, and learn what universities actually look for — years before they apply.
Career Day and "Life After TPH" workshops with guest speakers ranging from NHL players and Olympic gold medalists to bank presidents, nurses, psychologists, and firefighters — real careers, explained by the people living them.
The deepest advantage of our model isn't academic flexibility — it's that students practice running their own lives, every day, with a safety net of adults who hold the standard.
Students manage their own pacing, deadlines, and priorities inside a structured day — with staff checking daily. By graduation, self-management isn't a goal; it's a years-old habit.
Students communicate directly with their teachers — asking questions, requesting feedback, resolving problems. The exact skill college professors and employers expect.
AI workshops, writers workshop and book club, wellness programming, social media education, and student-run responsibilities like the student shop.
Student Leadership Board, Big Brother/Big Sister mentorship, and 500+ hours of community service — students practice responsibility for people other than themselves.
By the time a TPH St. Louis student graduates, they have spent years practicing the exact skills college and adult life demand — managing time, owning outcomes, advocating for themselves, and contributing to a community. That is the formation of the whole person.
Being a person and a student comes first — students must be academically eligible to train each day.
Academic pacing, grades, effort, and understanding are monitored daily — not at the end of the quarter when it's too late.
Families receive academic progress reports every 3 weeks, so there are never surprises.
From traditional desks to high-top workstations, staff help each student find the setting and work style where they focus best.
