Summer Development
TPH St. Louis Hockey Academy • Off-season development run by our academy staff — separate and distinct from the full-time Academy.
Please note: this program is an off-season offering and is entirely separate from TPH St. Louis Academy. Participation in the summer program is not enrollment in the Academy, and Academy admission is not required to be invited.
Invite-Only Summer Hockey Development
Since our founding, TPH St. Louis has run a high-performance summer training environment for motivated players committed to development through the off-season. Participation is by invitation only.
Invitation Only
Players must be competing at the Tier I AAA level to be considered. Invitations are typically sent in March for the upcoming summer. Groups have historically filled quickly.
Eight Focused Weeks
June and July at the Centene Community Ice Center — twice-weekly on-ice sessions in small, capped groups organized by birth year, from youth through midget, plus a dedicated group for players competing at the junior level.
Academy-Caliber Staff
Sessions are led on ice by the TPH St. Louis hockey staff — the same coaches who run daily development inside the Academy.
Summer 2027 — June & July
Summer 2027 groups will serve 2018–2010 birth-year Tier I players, plus a dedicated group for 2009–2007 birth-year Junior and College players. Invitations follow the standard March timeline.
The Development Philosophy
We focus on foundational skills that transfer to higher levels — through focused, high-attention-to-detail, quality repetition with a large emphasis on form, technique, and proper habits. Players learn when, where, and why to use skills and concepts, and are given high-frequency game-situation opportunities to recognize, use, and execute them — building well-rounded players who continue improving long after the summer ends.
